Sig Figs

The sig fig lesson was almost a refresher. I learned them at some point in my schooling career but forgot it all from years of not using it. Sig figs in general would probably piss of any math teacher in this school because it defies every rule we have learned in math. It is confusingly simple. If you need a refresher here is a link!

  1. I agree that we have had little touches on this topic of significant figures but I too have forgotten almost everything. The new topics that we have learned have thrown what I have previously learned out the window.

  2. I unfortunately never had been taught anything about sig figs before this class to this lesson was very confusing to me at first. I understood the significant digits from the others, but when we started adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, I got very confused. After going home and looking at my notes again, I was able to realize that they were actually extremely simple. I was happy to learn something new!

  3. I totally agree. The concept is totally anti-math. I like how you called it "confusingly-simple." Very funny! Link is great by the way.
