Nomenclature was always intimidating before I was actually introduced to it. Before I started chemistry it all looked like a bunch of gibberish. After I started learning how things are named it started to make a lot more sense.
I tend to agree that Nomenclature was difficult coming into it, but after completing the topic I realized how over-thought I had the subject pinned as. I considered it to be the death of me and honors chemistry.
