Test

The Aqueous Solutions Test was not the worst test in the world. It was 26 questions so it was decently short and it was relatively easy compared to other test I have taken in the past. Only struggled on some of the ions.. Those confused me through the unit. Hope everyone did well!

Test Study Links

It is that time of the week again!!!!!!! Test day is tomorrow and here are some links that I have used for help throughout the unit. They can be of assistance to anyone who chooses to utilize them to review tonight.

Mystery Murder Lab

Over the past couple of days we have performed a lab that told us to find out who killed Miss Scarlet. We were left a series of clues and essentially told to figure it out. In the end, we were able to test a mystery substance that we believe killed Miss Scarlet. We needed to test the substance to find out the molarity, which would then lead us to the killer. It was a creative approach to the what would've been average lab! I enjoyed it thoroughly. Here are some photos of our reaction and finished product.

I am currently working on the math to get the result and I will post them shortly!

Dilution Lab and Lesson

We learned a lesson about serial dilution today and learned the math behind diluting solutions. It consists of a simple equation which essentially describes a ratio.

We performed the lab with simple food coloring and we diluted the entire solution down to clear water. Although the lesson was simple the experiment helped me get a full understanding of the lesson. Hopefully I will be ready for the quiz on Monday!

This is what the experiment essentially looked like in animated terms.
