Genus and Species:  Opuntia littoralis

Habitat: More Commonly found in dryer areas but can be found in MO forest and prairies.

Seasons: Warmer times, spring/summer

Uses of Specimen: 

• Can be used as a bandage: Safely remove spines from the cacti with a rock and skin the cacti. Next, cut open the cacti like a hamburger bun and apply the juicy insides to the wound.
